This and That

First off, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!! Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday!

I have a variety of things for you today. First up, I have to share about Harbor Freight Tools. Do you have a store in your area? They have very low prices on all kinds of tools and you almost always get a free item with every purchase. You can order online if you don't have a store in your area.

Here is just a sampling of things my hubby just bought. All this was only $12 and the flashlight was free...

A three pack of work gloves, an infrared thermometer and a variable speed reversible drill.

Here's a link to their website if you're interested.

I recently posted a pic of my kitchen and several of you asked about the fryer on the counter. Here's a link to the one we have:

And here's a closer look:

My son bought it and made us some deep fried Oreos with it. Oh my...they were so good! He used a basic pancake batter, dipped the Oreos, fried them up, set them on paper towels and sprinkled powdered sugar on them. I always avoided them at the State Fair because they sounded gross to me, but boy was I wrong! They tasted like a homemade chocolate chip cookie. The Oreo gets completely soft and squishy during the frying process, which makes it so gooey and yummy. :)

Here are some pics of the deep fried Oreos he made...

This little deep fryer is great! It's only $25 at Target and the clean up is a breeze. All the oil is contained inside the machine and there's not any splatters to deal with. So nice!

In other news, I have to share some bra info with you. This may be TMI, but I'm going to share anyway. Ha!

So, you know how happy I am with my "old school" camisoles I finally tracked down, right? Here's a link to the blog post where I talk about them, with a link to purchase...

You can also just click HERE to order them. At only $8.49, they're a great deal!

Anyway, as I was saying, I love those camisoles (especially since they're loose fitting and not clingy like all those microfiber ones out there) but I was wondering if something else would also work under some of my white/light colored tops.

The camisoles do a great job, but I was wondering if a different color bra would be just as good. (I was mostly wearing white ones before) Anyway, I googled it and turns out I'm the last person on the planet to realize that a white bra is the totally wrong color to wear under a white shirt. Lol! What you want to wear with white or light colored tops is a nude color bra. Or at least something that's closer to your skin tone. Duh.

Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. Better late than never, right?

Anyway, I got some that were a nude color (I think the actual color was "toasted almond") and you know what? They work PERFECTLY under white/semi-sheer/light colored tops! No need for a camisole under those now. With a nude color bra, you can't see the bra through the fabric! I still wear my camisoles under several other things, but for the most part, the nude bra works great.

***My friend Lauren just reminded me that the same goes for undies too...nude color is best with light colored pants. I need to stock up on nude bras and undies now. :)

Also, Cotton Candy grapes are back in season, y'all! I picked some up the other day and they were gone in no time. And yes, they taste exactly like cotton candy.

I posted this on IG the other day...

This is my idea of the perfect afternoon...a cup of coffee, some maple cookies and my Kindle. Ahh...pure bliss!

And last but not least, I'll leave you with these funny cat shirts I found at Walmart...

I was cracking up while taking these pics! We thought they were so funny! Love the Taco Cat one the best. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
